Here's a little peak....
Ok, here you go. We built a table to go with those chairs.
This one was a 2 person project because Eddie & I both wanted to figure out how to use our new Kreg Jig. We used the plans for Ana White's Clara's Table. (Linking to the Fabcebook page because she's been having some trouble with her website.)
This is what they look like in Nick's trains, planes & automobiles room with the airplane shelf. I'm kind of wishing I would have painted the bottom half of his walls a more soothing green instead of fire engine red, but that's what I get for making design decisions while pregnant.
This building hobby is quickly becoming an addiction! But how can you not love being able to fulfill a creative drive and save tons of money on practical stuff at the same time?!
This set is on sale right now for $200.

My total cost was around $30.
Saving money and giving my kids cute stuff makes me a happy camper. :)

Love it looks really great and I love the colors, what did you use on for paint or stain on both, from the pictures the table has a more rustic look and I like it. Ana White is sooo addicting we are working on three of the Farmhouse beds for our kids(paused right now to order 4x4 posts apparently they don't sell those untreated normally). And it took my husband about 30 minutes to do the head and foot board maybe!! Can't wait to get them done! If it keeps going well we are going to make a lot more for our new house!
Thanks! I used a sample can of Oops paint for the chairs. For the table I used Minwax stain & poly-in-one in a dark walnut. To get the rustic look use a dry cloth to rub the stain into the wood in the direction of the grain & don't wipe any of it off. Then sand it well with a fine grit paper and do a second coat the same way. Make sure to choose cheap wood that has a lot of knots. ;)
Good luck with your beds, they sound like fun projects!
you are doing a great job! i love looking at her ideas and being inspired by how easy she makes it look. when my boy gets a bit older i will definitely be making a table set for him!
Fabulous!!!! Stephanie, you cannot beat that price. I'm so impressed that you guys made that. I've been trying to get onto her site for a few days (another blogger linked to her last week) and finally made it on today. I see a lot of work cut out for my hubs. ;)
